You know that poster, that cliche, of the kitten hanging from the knot at the end of a rope, or from a tree branch, or from the curtains?
"Hang in there" -- and it's supposed to be cute and warm your heart?
Try being the kitten.
This is me.
Our group will not be sold. (This is where the VP paused for applause.) BUT, (and isn't there always a "But . . ."? -- which is the very reason none of us really felt like applauding) some of you will be cut. We don't know who yet. But, we will before the end of the month. So, go be productive and get your work done, now.
So, we wait. But . . . the company seems to like to make cuts on the Thursday before payday. That would be today. Either I'm cut or I watch God knows how many of my co-workers from the past 10+ years walk out with boxes.
