Lost in Space

I know that this blog has been floundering. Who would have thought that there were so many days when I didn't have anything to say?

Grateful for a job -- I had prayed for a job that would allow me to work about 30 hours per week, use my experience and education, make enough money to feed my children, and not have to drive into downtown Cleveland.

I have a job that will sometimes require more than 30 hours a week but that uses exactly what my work experience was and that values my education, pays a bit more than my old job, and is a quicker drive than before. With the ability to sometimes work from home. And flexibility enough that, if I have all of my time in and work done and no one needs anything, I don't even have to show up on Fridays if I don't want to!!!

My job letter and resume landed on the right desk on the same day that a project team expressed a need for support. The right person took my letter and instead of handing it off to HR, decided to personally make it his job to get me a job. Very fortunate.

Prayers answered and then some.

Still working out some of the logistics.

All in all, though, worth the wait. And definitely feels like a reward for my faithfulness.

At some point, I am sure this blog will pick up. All 3 readers out there, just you wait!!!!

Very quick

Talking to The Dictator, who is looking to buy a DSi, since she's been saving her money for a year:

Dictator: If you wait a minute, I'll give a big bunch of change that you can put through the machine next to the salon at WalMart.

Faithful Alligator: What are you going to do, take like all of your money out of your piggy bank?

D: I kind of already did.

Asking both girls why there was one stray mini chocolate chip on the counter:

Faithful Alligator: Why is there one chocolate chip here? Who made what?? (knowing that The Princess is famous for her "concoctions" like whipped cream, peanut butter, and chocolate chips or things like that.)

The Princess: (looks like the culprit)

FA: What did you make?

P: Chocolate chips in my mouth.
