Scandal!

Get ready for the headlines -- there's a scandal brewing.

I'm using steroids! Unfortunately, they are not so much to enhance any of my performances other than breathing.

Bronchitis again.

Time Flies

The Princess has grown a smudge (less than 1/4 inch) since late August. The Dictator has grown nearly 3/4 inch since the same time.

It's nearly the end of volleyball season.

You turn around and the 1st Quarter of the school year is nearly over and you've not even posted pictures from the first day of school.

Time flies.

So does the Word of God. The Dictator came back from Children's Liturgy of the Word at mass last weekend and plopped her special children's missalette onto the pew. She had turned it into a paper airplane.

TV Doesn't Rot Your Brain

This just in: Television must not completely rot your brain.

The Dictator was working on last week's spelling lesson and declared how easy the spelling words are.

I asked her: "Well, how did you learn to spell these words?"

Her reply: "F-R-E-E - that spells 'free' - credit report dot com baby!"

Something Really Scary Happened at School Today

A discussion between The Faithful Alligator and The Princess. On our date night, just the two of us. Husband and The Dictator are out at the movies.

We decided to drive over by the mall, eat, and get The Dictator's birthday present.

The Princess: "Something really scary happened at school today."

So, that phrase strikes fear in a mother's heart. I think, "What happened? Did someone have a weapon with them? A fire in the science lab? A fight? Yelling? What?!?!?!!?!?!?!" as I calmly asked, "Oh, what was that?"

Princess: "A boy on the bus kind of asked me to the dance next week."

Apparently, that is terrifying for both of us! Because I know it made me want to scream!

(For the record, it's the same boy who was turning his bike around in our driveway until The Princess went outside and said "Leave!". And her response to his sort of asking her to the dance was apparently wide-eyed silence.)

To Be Continued, no doubt.
